Waiting

I do not know if I can wait till the 12th of May to see an eye doctor. I was at an Art Show Friday night and I was feeling closterphobic with all the people around me. Then today I was at the Dollar Tree to pick somethings up and it was real difficult to walk up and down the isles looking for things. I felt slightly paniced.

Not much in my life has truly had me scared or made me nervous

Not much in my life has truly had me scared or made me nervous, which is amazing for anyone who knows what I have been through in my life. Yesterday morning I got up and noticed some floaters in my left eye, not really a big deal if you look at my past medical conditions; diabetes, laser treatment in both eyes, retinal detachment in my right eye, bell's palsy in my right eye, 3 transplants (1kidney-2pancreas), vitreous sack detachment in my left eye, ex-smoker, off of drugs and alchol for almost 16 years.

Well anyways, I saw the floaters and thought it had to due with the vitreous sack again, but around 10:00am I started losing my vision, everything was getting fuzzy, especially by my nose and around the top of my eye. Had a meeting, did not say anything to anyone, afterwards I went to the eye doctors and said I needed an appointment right away. I went did some tutoring, went home and told my wife, then laid down with one of the cats till it was time to go. Sure enough it is the vitreous sack pulling lose again but it is still attched to the retina which is why I have the floaters.

I head downstate on the 11th or 12th of May (appointment is on the 12th) to see a doctor in Royal Oak to set up the surgery. It's wierd, I had problems with my right eye 15 years ago and didn't think anything of it, now it bothers me that I have problems seeing out of my left. Not sure why, could be age, could be the fact that I have some what of a job I enjoy doing. Well anyways that was my day, more will be posted as time progresses.

My mom is Great.

I had gone down state over the weekend to see some performers that have played at my wife's and my House Concert Series. And on Saturday we took my mom out to eat at Mongolian Bar-B-Que, then off to the Coffee Beanery to See David Nefesh and The Astronauts of Love. David is an Independent Folk singer and has joined up with some friends of his to perform with. At one point my mom turned around and told us to be quiet (not like she can hear the lyrics do to the music anyways) so my brother told her to take her hearing aid out, so she did Angela (my wife), Steve (my brother), and I laughed till it hurt. And then awhile later my mom asked me what type of music we were listening too. So I looked her in the eye and said, "Live." My mom did have fun, sometimes it is nice when my dad is out of town.
