June the month summer of fun.

I know I should wait til Monday or Tuesday to post. The month started off with the Nor Eastr' Music in Art Festival, it was great to open our campsite to family and friends. Sometimes it is hard to say who is who, family or friend, but we always treat others as family. The BackRoads Clan or is it Cult? But anyways we treat our campsite like our home, first time in your a guest and after that your family. It was great to see old faces and to meet new ones.

Last weekend I was at a SCA event in Ionia. I stayed with House Vargavik, the reason I like the vargs is that they like Angela and I, treat you like family when you enter their campsite. I did not get to see much of the Fencing and Heavy fighting like I had wanted to, but I did spend my day in the Merchants area with some of the Lady's of House Varg. It was a good time.

This weekend coming up is the Alpena Blues Festival. Another busy weekend for me, that being I am the volunteer coordinator for this event, but for now everything seems in place. The weather looks great for the weekend, and of course the chance to see friends and family again.

Wow, three weekends in a row with great food, good food, and some good music.

Love

It was Saturday night as I sat across the table from her. I stared at her while the music was playing in the background, boy how I love her. I am not sure if she really new I was staring at her, but every now and then I had to turn my head so that the tears would not start to roll.

It seems like for ever since I held her in my arms and unfortunately tonight would not be the night. The singer continued crooning, and every now and then this women across me would either lean forward and hug her son or lean back and chat with her friend. Still no glance my way.

How I wish I could take her home with me, but not tonight. Maybe in another week or two she will share my bed, share my heart, share my dreams. Until there she can share my thoughts and Prayers.

"Could I love you, I suppose."

Just posting.

I usually don't post unless I have something profound to say and then I don't post that because I do not think I am much of a writer. So, more or less I don't post often.

So for some reason this morning I decided to go through and start looking up musician that I know and start adding them back onto my favorites, (yes hun, I forgot to save the favorites). While looking up performers I decided to look for some music to play, originally I wanted to listen to the Milroy's but ended up listen to the Son's of the Never Wrong.

Life is weird sometimes, complete ramblin of the mind, that is my world. I just saw some friends of mine Friday night, it was great to see them, I miss you guys.
Opps, ADD just kicked in.
Where was I? Oh, yeah. I was starting to ramble on and on and on and on. But now my wife can not say I have not blogged, unlike other people we know.

A song

It is sometimes amazing how sometimes it is the little things that can bring back memories or warm feelings. My son attends a Charter school and they do a Paragon performance once a month, the kids do skits or songs based on what they did in social studies that month. Anyways, I think it was the Second graders who sang the song "Rainbow Connection."

To me this is one of the greatest simple songs ever wrote. Of course the Jim Henson version will always be the best, but something about the song brings me happiness and memories. It goes up to the top of the list for most favorite song for me.

12th Night

Edward and I had a good time at 12th Night. There were a variety of games to play and a lot of different foods to eat. He got bored right after dinner because they had to move table for Court, but he was asked to be a Page and to blow a horn at the arrival of the Baron and Baroness. That made him feel better. The gift exchange was interesting, everyone drew a number and then went to the table to pick a gift, or if someone had a package that seemed interesting to you, you could go and steal it from someone. The only draw back with that is that they had gifts just for kids and Edward being 11 is at that age where he wanted to participate in the gift stealing aspect. Edward ended up with a book and I got a green wool scarf. We both had fun, I am looking forward to St. Val's Day in Feb.

Spending time with my son.

On Saturday I am going to a 12th Night Celebration for the SCA with my son. And Monday starts the new semester of Karate, I get to join him on Tuesday for parents Karate. We miss Mom, we got to see her last weekend when she came home. Unfortunately we had the house concert (not that there is anything wrong with doing a house concert), but we do not get to spend as much time with her.

It is weird, some days I can go through the day and not think much about it, other days I miss her a lot. Then there are some days I just wish there was someone just to watch Edward so I can go out and spend time with my friends. It's weird, I know a lot of people but I do not spend much time with them. At least I will be able to do more with the SCA now that Edward is getting interested.

We will see where things go from here. At least my work knows that I could move out of the area anytime this summer, but on the other hand I would hate to cancel out the rest of the house concerts for the year. My brain is starting to hurt, it is all my wifes fault for wanting me to blog again. Maybe I will blog on Sunday and tell you how my day went at the party.
