Fun in the sun, or was it wind.

This past weekend my wife (Angela), my son (Edward), and I went to the NorEastr festival the weather was great, sunny with a little bit of wind (okay make that a lot of wind). It was great, we sponsored one of the groups that was there, Jo Serrapare and the Willie Dunns. There were so many people there that we knew performer wise, and a few none performers also. The NorEastr is a small family oriented festival located in Mio, Michigan.

We met new people, shared our food, and coffee with anyone who was hungry and thirsty. Apparently we were a godsend to a group called Freshwater, they consist of four college students who had come with Raman noodle and a sausage stick (we look forward to having them out to our house next year to perform). Dan Hazlett who is one of our favorite performers camped right next store to us. We came in our own little group, on top of the Wieskes being there, my brother Steve was there with his fiancee Becky and her roommate Alisha, our friend Melissa was there with two of her friends, Mike and Kim.

It was so much fun sitting back and listening to the music, or walking around and looking at the art that was there. Edward spent a lot of his time with the blacksmiths who were there, the couple who were there live real close so we hope to be able to spend sometime there this summer. It was one of those type of weekends that are easier to experience then to describe.

I like that last line - easier to experience than to describe. It certainly says a lot! I can relate to that feeling. Sounds like it was a great time.
